The Argentine has called time on his five year stay at the Etihad Stadium to embark on a new challenge with Portuguese giants Benfica, but says he hopes City continue to enjoy the success he has experienced during his time in Manchester.
“Very good,” he said when asked for his thoughts on the Club’s prospects.
“I can see how hungry they are to win, even when things don’t go exactly to plan, they are fighters, and fantastic people outside the pitch, and I see everything going well here.
“New people are arriving, who are just as hungry to win, and we hope that they can do that.
“Wherever I am, I will always support the club and my teammates, so hopefully the successes will continue.”
In his final interview, Otamendi also discussed how grateful he is to have played for City, his favourite memories, and his special relationship with fans.
