Omar Marmoush has selected the first goal from his hat-trick against Newcastle United as his favourite, as City cruised to a 4-0 Premier League victory.

The Egyptian lit up the Etihad Stadium with his first goals since arriving in January, completing a first-half hat-trick within 14 minutes.

He struck powerfully into the near post for his second goal, before sweeping in a third from Savinho’s cross.

But the 26-year-old was most impressed with his first goal, latching onto Ederson’s long pass before coolly lobbing over goalkeeper Martin Dubravka.

“Yeah, of course, it’s a very, very nice day,” he said in his post-match interview with City TV.

“It’s my first hat-trick in my career. I’d like to thank my teammates, the staff and the coach of course for helping me achieve this moment.

“They made me feel like part of this family from the first day. I’m really happy.

“I think my first one [favourite goal], because it’s my first goal for City the feeling was unbelievable, in this atmosphere, in this stadium, it was really nice.”

Marmoush also reserved special praise for Ederson after his record-breaking assist, hailed the Club’s family culture in helping him settle into life in Manchester and spoke about where he could be putting his first match ball.
