Erling Haaland, Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw, Carlos Borges and Justin Oboavwoduo analyse each other’s goals from 2022/23.

The quartet grabbed a combined 136 goals across the campaign for our Men’s, Women’s, Elite Development Squad and Under-18s sides.

To celebrate that remarkable achievement, they each offered their expert insight when watching a short compilation of the other three’s strikes.

Haaland, Borges and Oboavwoduo all finished top of the scoring charts as City completed a hat-trick of title triumphs in the Premier League, Premier League 2 and Under-18 Premier League North.

And while Shaw was pipped to the Golden Boot, she would break the record for the most goals in a single campaign for our Women’s team, both in the WSL (20 in 22 appearances) and in all competitions (31 in 30 appearances).

It was also an outstanding season for Haaland, who broke numerous longstanding records en route to Pep Guardiola’s men claiming the Treble.

Not only did the Norwegian score more goals than any other Premier League player across a single season, but he also surpassed Tommy Johnson’s 94-year record for the most strikes for City in all competitions during 2022/23.

Borges, meanwhile, was instrumental in ensuring our EDS made it a hat-trick of PL2 titles, finding the net 21 times from out wide in the league and 29 times in all competitions.

A hat-trick in a 6-1 win away to Manchester United in November 2022 was a particular highlight of another fine season for the Portuguese youngster, who also grabbed 18 assists across the campaign.

Oboavwoduo, meanwhile, demonstrated his huge promise with 23 goals in his first season at Under-18 level.

He would grab 16 of those in the Under-18 Premier League North, while a brace against West Ham United also ensured City reclaimed the National crown for a third successive season with a 2-1 win at the Etihad Stadium.

All four have enjoyed truly memorable seasons at the Club, and you can watch them react to each other’s goals via the video above…
