Joining the Club in the summer of 2023, our number 24 has developed from one of the most exciting young defenders in world football to one of its most versatile and effective performers.
Injury lay-off aside last season, he’s also been one of the most consistent and regular performers for City during that time, already surpassing 100 appearances for the Club en route to six major honours.
Crucially, he believes Manchester is the best place to continue that development, insisting it was an easy decision to make such a long-term commitment to the Blues ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
A long-time admirer of the Premier League and English game, Gvardiol claimed the league title in his first season before being named Etihad Player of the Season in his second year at the Club.
He’s certainly made his mark at City and has forged a reputation not only as a cultured, committed and intelligent defender, but also as a hugely effective weapon in both boxes.
