Joao Cancelo has shared his thoughts on the best Portuguese players to grace the Premier League.

The Manchester City defender’s home country has sent a long list of top talent to England’s top tier in the past three decades and the right-back faced an unenviable task as we asked him to select his best XI.


Cancelo, who is currently away with his national team for World Cup qualifying matches against the Republic of Ireland and Serbia, picked three City team-mates in his all-star team, which included eight players currently plying their trade in the Premier League.

Ruben Dias and Bernardo Silva both feature in a 4-3-3 formation and six of the eleven players selected have been part of championship winning teams.
