A behind-the-scenes look at our newest recruit’s first day as a Manchester City player!

Jeremy Doku has become Pep Guardiola’s third summer signing, following the acquisitions of both Mateo Kovacic and Josko Gvardiol.

The 21-year-old winger joins the Club with an exciting reputation, having already become a regular for the Belgian national team having spent the previous three seasons at French outfit Stade Rennais.

Our cameras were there to greet him at the airport following his short journey over the English Channel, although he joked that he’d only packed some t-shirts having failed to check the weather in Manchester!

First, it was time for Doku’s medical, where he caught a glimpse of the Etihad en route.

The winger is well accustomed to the talents of Kevin De Bruyne having played alongside him for Belgium, and he asked about his new team-mate’s recovery from a hamstring injury, as well as that of Pep Guardiola following minor back surgery in Barcelona.

On completion of his medical, the winger travelled to the City Football Academy and gained further insight into his new team and surroundings following a conversation with Director of Football, Txiki Begiristain.

Our latest signing then made his way over to our state-of-the-art studio to conduct his first interview as a City player, as well as some social media content.

Finally, it was time for him to meet our photography team, first donning our 2023/24 home kit for some creative snaps, before being captured putting pen to paper on the move alongside Txiki Begiristain.
