Erling Haaland has paid tribute to manager Pep Guardiola after the boss oversaw a 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest in his 300th Premier League match in charge of City.

Josko Gvardiol headed us ahead in Guardiola‘s landmark game, before Haaland emerged from the bench to slot in our second and secure three valuable points at the City Ground.

The boss has won five titles in seven seasons and is currently going for a sixth league success since arriving in Manchester and is already the most successful manager in the history of the Club.

Haaland was full of praise for the Catalan after the victory over Forest. He said:

“He’s done great things, he’s a truly special one.

“I enjoy working with him and hopefully will for some more years.

“It’s about winning and about being focused, we were that today. It was a battle, we didn’t play the best game.

“In the end it’s about the three points and that’s what we got.

The striker also spoke about the importance of every player in the squad for the remaining four league matches of the season and spoke about his delight at returning to action after missing two matches.
