Erling Haaland has been the scourge of defenders in England and Europe with Manchester City.

After all, this is a striker who won the Treble of Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League in his first season.

Along the way the striker claimed an incredible haul of 52 goals in all competitions – the biggest-ever tally by a Premier League player – as well as plundering a record total of 36 league goals.

Haaland also won the Golden Boot and a host of other prestigious individual honours including the PFA Player of the Year prize, the Premier League Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year awards as well as the Football Writers’ Association Player of the Year.

He followed that up with Super Cup glory as well as another Golden Boot as City earned a history-making fourth successive top-flight title, something no other English men’s club had ever achieved before the Blues.

And this season, after starting with Community Shield success over Manchester United, he’s shown he’s not lost any of his prolific powers in front of goal with 16 efforts so far in just 21 games.

No matter the team, our Norwegian No.9 has plagued the very best centre-halves in the game.

And with the ink barely dry on a new 10-year deal with City, our star striker decided to put pen to paper again, this time in the form of a letter to his opponents.

Titled ‘Dear Defenders’, he eloquently expresses how much he’s enjoyed battling with them over his two-and-a-half years in the sky blue before unapologetically revealing: ‘Sorry. I’m here to stay. Erling’.

Can he continue getting the better of them in front of goal? Hopefully, the writing is on the wall!
