Food is particularly important to that, so, first team nutritionist Tom Parry has worked with Manchester City's Official Partner Gatorade to share a series of healthy recipes for you to make at home.
In the latest episode, Tom provides a step by step guide for making avocado and smoked trout on rye.
A simple breakfast, high in protein and carbohydrate, it is great for recovery, whilst the trout provides a good source of anti-inflammatory Omega 3.
- ½ avocado
- 1 tbsp of cottage cheese
- 1 ready roasted pepper (from a jar) or 6 cherry tomatoes cut into quarters
- 2 tbsps of lemon juice
- Salt and pepper
- 100g trout
- 2 pieces of toasted rye bread
Toast the rye bread.
Mix all ingredients for the avocado spread and spread all over the toast.
Top with the smoked salmon and season.
