The week, led by Fuzail Patel (Early Years Officer) and Lucy Gaskell-Milward (Primary Schools Manager), started with both practical and classroom-based workshops, which focused on leadership, coaching and planning.
The Young Leaders then planned and delivered their own mini sessions to each other utilising the skills they had developed in the workshops.
Later in the week, the young leaders attended a beach football tournament with the Cityzens Brazil Official Supporters Club.
The group also went to a match screening of the City vs Tottenham Premier League match, where fun football sessions were put on for the children attending.
At the end of the week, the participants were surprised with a visit from Club legend Paul Dickov, as well as the Premier League and Community Shield trophies, at the Gol De Letra headquarters.
Primary Schools Manager, Lucy Gaskell-Milward, said: “The trip was a great experience; it was great to work with local coaches and see their passion for helping others.”
Fuzail Patel, CITC Early Years Officer, also commented on his time on the trip, saying: “We had an amazing time in Sao Paulo, we met some very inspirational and ambitious young leaders.
“We got to surprise them [the Young Leaders] with the trophies, it was really cool to see those smiles on the faces.”
