Rodrigo scored a stoppage-time winner as City overcame the Gunners in dramatic circumstances to go 11 points clear at the top of the table with our 11th consecutive victory in the competition.

The Spaniard prodded home a loose ball after Aymeric Laporte’s blocked volley fell kindly for him to break the hosts resistance in the 93rd minute.

In an incident filled clash at the Emirates Stadium, the Gunners looked more dangerous in the first half and took the lead when Bukayo Saka swept home Kieran Tierney’s pass after half an hour.

Riyad Mahrez scored a 57th minute penalty to level the scores after referee Stuart Attwell overturned his original decision when Bernardo Silva tumbled over the outstretched leg of Granit Xhaka.

In a chaotic seven minutes, Arsenal were then inches away from restoring their lead instantly.

Nathan Ake was forced to clear off the line after a mix up between Laporte and Ederson, before Gabriel Martinelli cracked the rebound against the woodwork with the goal gaping.

Sixty seconds later, the hosts had Gabriel sent off for a second bookable offence following his foul on Gabriel Jesus and as City went in search of a winner, our character was rewarded deep into added time.
