Manchester City booked a place in the fourth round of the FA Cup with a comfortable 4-1 victory over Port Vale at the Etihad Stadium.

Two Academy graduates, Man of the Match Phil Foden and Taylor Harwood-Bellis were on the scoresheet, as City made the perfect start to our defence of the trophy we won at Wembley Stadium last May.

Oleksandr Zinchenko’s deflected 25-yard strike opened the scoring, before Vale’s Tom Pope bulleted an impressive header beyond Claudio Bravo to net a surprise equaliser.

It was as close to a scare as City came, with Sergio Aguero restoring our lead before the break.

Harwood-Bellis made it three with his first goal for the Club, as he got the slightest of touches on John Stones’ shot, which was given after a lengthy VAR stoppage to check whether the 17-year-old was offside.

Foden, who impressed throughout, wrapped things up as he converted Angelino’s centre from close range.
