Gabriel Jesus struck a first-ever hat-trick for Manchester City as the Blues moved within touching distance of a place in the Champions League last 16 by thrashing Shakhtar Donetsk 6-0 at the Etihad.
The Brazilian struck two penalties and then rounded off a fine individual display by sealing his treble with a wonderful chip in injury time.
It was also the second time in four days that City had scored six goals at the Etihad following last Sunday's 6-1 defeat of Southampton and was the Club's biggest-ever Champions League victory.
Though Hoffenheim hit back late to claim a 2-2 draw away in Lyon in the other night's other game in Group F, City top the standings on nine points with just two games left are in pole position to reach the knockout stages.
