Manchester United v Manchester City: Pep preview part 2

More from the boss ahead of the Manchester derby....

Pep Guardiola says his players know what to expect in Wednesday evening's Manchester derby.

With talk of a United reaction after their 4-0 loss at Everton, Pep said: "I think they know it; they know how in the beginning how strong they will be in terms of the intensity.

"They will want to push and press and create a good atmosphere at OT, and we need to handle it.

For me United means an incredible team of course. But the last 20-25 years always there and last 3,4,5 years that can happen in long-term history.

"The games we play against them; always they have top managers, good players.

"United don’t compete just against Man City. We saw yesterday Burnley draw at Stamford Bridge; Crystal Palace beat Arsenal.

"We spoke a little bit on how to beat them; players who played a lot of games in the last month/week. We go through specifics tomorrow in the morning."
