More from the boss ahead of the clash with Burnley...

The Belgium midfielder hasn’t played since the opening game of the season at Arsenal after suffering a lateral collateral ligament  lesion in his right knee during training.

But Pep Guardiola confirmed on Friday he is ready to return to action this weekend and says it will be a huge boost to have him back.

“Yes [he is fit],” the boss said. “I don’t know if he is able to play 90 minutes.

"He trained the last two weeks. He has no pain and is ready to be part of the group.

“He is such an important player for us. Whenever a player is out, I like when they come back because the stronger we will be.

“Kevin, there is no doubt how important he is for us.”

Meanwhile, Fabian Delph is also available again and may feature against Burnley.

The England man hasn't played since the 5-0 victory at Cardiff and has made just three appearances all season.

But Guardiola confirmed midfielder Ilkay Gundogan remains out with a  hamstring problem he picked up in the win at Hoffenheim.

“Gundogan is not fit,” he said. “One week, two weeks, I am not sure [when he will return].

“Fabian is training with us and in contention [for the Burnley game].”
