Pep Guardiola expressed his satisfaction at a fine night’s work by Manchester City after we sealed our place in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals with a 2-0 fourth round win over Fulham.
The side showed 10 changes from the team which beat Spurs 1-0 on Monday and Spanish youngster Brahim Diaz took his big chance by claiming a fine brace of goals.
But the City manager expressed his satisfaction with all of his players for the way they went about their task in all areas of the field.
“It was an excellent performance with and without the ball," said Guardiola.
“We were clever and created enough chance to score more goals.
“Everybody was good. Brahim make two goals, Aro (Muric) gave us good security, every time Phil (Foden) plays a good level, I wouldn’t say just one in particular, we made again an excellent performance without the ball we were aggressive.
“We played like the competition deserve and every game deserved. We are so satisfied with the victory.”
