As the current crop of City stars prepare for the League Cup final, we caught up with two men who know exactly what it takes to win at Wembley.
In Tommy Booth and Dennis Tueart, we've spoken to a duo who combined for one of the most memorable goals in the Club's history, when Booth headed back across goal for the latter to execute the overhead kick which secured the 1976 League Cup final win over Newcastle United.
A great moment, by two great City players, which they recall in the video above.
Booth, with 380 appearances to his name, also played in two more League Cup finals, winning in 1970 and tasting defeat in 1974 and he told us it was the sight of scores of City fans descending on the famous old Wembley Stadium which served as his motivation.
"Everywhere you looked in the City fans, you seemed to know them," he said.
"You'd go: 'Oh my god, we've got to win. We can't let these lads down.'
"You want to win for the Club, you want to win for yourself, it's a trophy. But the fans, they make the game. They travel everywhere to watch you and you basically want to do it for the fans."
