Pep Guardiola believes Manchester City will finish in the Premier League top four and guarantee a place in the Champions League next season.
The manager is pleased the Blues are in control of their own destiny, knowing that winning the four remaining games will secure qualification for Europe’s top tournament once again.
Speaking to journalists before Crystal Palace visit the Etihad Stadium, Guardiola also revealed that Sergio Aguero joins Claudio Bravo and John Stones on the injury list, while David Silva remains a doubt.
The Catalan did acknowledged his side must improve their home form if they are to secure their Champions League status, but is expecting a tough test from Sam Allardyce’s Eagles.
“They have huge quality in their strikers,” he said. “Benteke is one of the strongest players in the box in the world.
“Allardyce is a top coach. He took over a team in a bad situation and they make good results. This game, for our side, is so important.”
