Manager, Nick Cushing had all the confidence in the world coming into our Women's FA Cup final match against Birmingham.

He joked on the coach that "going into the break 0-3 would be ideal..." And he got just that. His team put on a brilliant performance in front of a raucous crowd at Wembley Stadium, earning a hard-fought victory.

"We knew it was going to be an occasion, (Birmingham) get to finals and they really want to win but we had to stick to our process and it was an exceptional win."

It was indeed, there were four goals from City with four different goal scorers, displaying an all-round team performance.

"Every player on the pitch played their part.

"We were disappointed after the Champions League because we didn’t perform at home again Lyon so today I really wanted the team to win and the performance was exception."

So what's left now for the team you may ask?

"We have to keep improving so that the team remains the dominant team in England."

Only a winning mentality allowed at MCWFC!
