Sergio Aguero started the new season in imperious fashion as he struck a superb brace against Chelsea to help Manchester City claim the Community Shield and register his 200th career goal for the club.
On a sun-baked afternoon at Wembley, the Argentine striker - who last season became the Club’s all-time leading goal-scorer – carved out another memorable place in City folklore when striking his opening goal on 12 minutes.
Latching onto Phil Foden’s assist following a sublime City move, Kun once again reminded everyone of the lethal finishing qualities that have helped establish him as one of the world’s leading strikers over the past decade by lashing home a wonderful left-foot strike past former Blues' keeper Willy Caballero.
Just for good measure, Sergio then doubled his and City’s tally after the break to set the seal on what was a commanding display from Pep Guardiola’s side ahead of the start of the new Premier League campaign next weekend.
