The game was stopped for a lengthy period, resulting in Ederson needing to be substituted for Claudio Bravo. Thankfully the damage wasn't as severe as first anticipated, with the Brazilian saying he is fine and well.
Sane made it 4-0 to the Blues after a neat exchange of passes with Mendy ended with the German winger sweeping the ball home from close range .
The best of City's five goals however was saved until last - when Sane neatly wrapped a curling effort just outside the box into the top left corner in stoppage time, leaving Mignolet in a heap on the floor.
