City’s Head of Sports Medicine, Max Sala, is preparing to take on the world’s toughest bicycle race.
The Race Across America (RAAM) has to be completed within 12 days starting in Oceanside, California and ending at City Dock Annapolis, Maryland- spanning 3000 miles, climbing a staggering 175,000 feet and crossing 12 states.
Our head medic- who is kindly being supported by Team Sky- will be taking on the mammoth challenge in June 2018 with the aim of raising money and awareness of our City in the Community One City Disability programme.
City in the Community works with over a thousand disabled people each season, and City have nine disabled teams.
One City – one of the foundation’s flagship programmes- provides high quality inclusive football sessions for both juniors and adults with a wide range of disabilities each week
Everyone at City is getting behind our club doctor and we want fans to help Dr Max reach his fundraising target in order to help change the lives of the participants on the One City Disability Programme.
So, take a look at what our Doc will be getting up to... and what our skipper, Vincent Kompany, makes of it all!
If you wish to support Max Sala as he takes on the Race Across America, you can donate here on his JustGiving page.
