City U19s excited by FC Copenhagen challenge, says Dickson

Manchester City U19s forward Will Dickson has praised the squad’s European mentality as we prepare for our third UEFA Youth League clash at home to FC Copenhagen on Wednesday afternoon.

City have seen off Sevilla and Borussia Dortmund respectively and sit top-of-the-table in Group G on goals scored.

However, FC Copenhagen have also won their opening two games against the same opposition and will provide City’s sternest test yet in a game that will be screened live on CITY+ and Recast.

But Dickson believes that if City retain the heart and desire they have so far demonstrated in the UEFA Youth League they are more than capable of meeting the challenge provided by the young Danes.

The striker said: “We have started really well, we couldn’t have really asked for anything better especially as we came behind in both games, it showed the mentality we have as a group.

“The main goal is to come out of the group, so starting with two wins has been a great start, in past years it has shown that it is quite difficult to do well in Europe, our job is to play to the best of our ability and the results should show.”
