Four goals from Dexter Oliver, followed up by a fifth and final goal from Tireni Aiyegbusi, meant Logan White’s strike was a consolation for 10-man Leeds on a wet Saturday afternoon.
The teams went in at the break with the scoreline at 2-1, with Coggin feeling his team could do more with possession.
And they certainly did that in the second half, with his words of wisdom at the break enough to inspire his team to push that extra bit harder for three important points.
“The demand, the intensity, how we pressed for the whole second half, right until the last whistle regardless of the scoreline I thought was fantastic,” said Coggin when asked what impressed him the most in the second half performance of his team.
“Really pleasing that young players can come onto the pitch.
“It’s what we want to promote as long as they are showing the right attitude, right behaviour.
“Everyone has got the quality here so we want to give as much opportunity as possible.”
