In our final league game of the 2024/25 season, City looked to complete the campaign as strong as possible before we take on Aston Villa in the National final later this month.
And it was the perfect start for our young boys in blue with Christian Dunbar-McDonald firing City ahead on eight minutes with a fantastic solo goal.

But in the second half, Newcastle clawed their way back in with Kacey Wooster and Matheos Ferreira finding the back of the City net to give the Magpies the lead.
Substitute Finlay Gorman saw his in-swinging corner headed home by Leke Drake for his first goal on the season on 69 minutes.
Gorman then added his name to the scoresheet with an exquisite 25-yard finish 10 minutes later.
City were just a couple minutes away from securing a 23 successive winning run, but Matthew Taylor’s goal on 90 minutes meant the spoils were shared.
