The girls are back! Double-winning champions Man City Women are back in training...
Have the team enjoyed their Christmas a little too much? Three days of fitness testing will provide the answer!
The league and Continental Tyres Cup champions were put through their paces at City Football Academy, ahead of the new season, which kicks off in April.
"Fitness testing isn't the nicest!" laughed Nissan Goal of the Season winner, Toni Duggan. "You can ask anyone - it's a hard part of football - but it's good to be back as a team.
"The girls have come back in good shape so it's not been too bad a start!
"We've had a mixture of tests to see where we're at and make sure we didn't put on too much timber over Christmas!"
Megan Campbell, who missed much of last season through injury but signed a new contract in December echoed: "Everybody's delighted to be back.
"We've proved we can do it as a team. We're like a family, basically.
"It's brilliant being back with the girls. I'm around the team again and having their support to get back fit again is great.
"To have that support is a great feeling."
Fixture and ticket information for Man City Women will be released soon.
