City Inspires Youth Program
inspires aims to build confidence and form positive relationships with education
Partnered with the Premier League, and delivered in schools across Greater Manchester, City Inspires is an education programme, which aims to use the appeal of Manchester City and the Premier League to work with groups of secondary school learners who are at risk of not reaching their potential and support them as they move through the education system and early adulthood, giving them the confidence, resilience and skills to succeed.
Hear from our Inspires programme settings
“My behaviour and attendance used to be a bit up and down. Now I understand much better what I have to lose and have a greater appreciation for the education I am receiving. The project has given me something to work on that I am passionate about and as such I understand more what is at stake if my attendance drops etc.”
Tom, Inspires Participant
“In a relatively short period, City Inspires has had a massive impact on some of our most challenging students. The coach has engaged students well and inspired better behaviour choices.”
SLT, Reddish Vale High School
“City Inspires has allowed Year 7 to build relationships as a class. Their competitive play in all sports has improved because they can respond to each other more respectfully. City Inspires has also engaged some of the most reluctant children in physical activity and the coaches have adapted activities to support this.”
