Phil Foden netted a brace for the second match in succession and assisted another in the 6-0 victory over Ipswich, our joint-biggest away win in Premier League history.

The Academy graduate made his 200th start for City at Portman Road and fired us ahead after 27 minutes, expertly controlling Kevin De Bruyne’s cross before striking into the bottom corner from six yards.

Three minutes later, the Englishman laid the ball off for the onrushing Mateo Kovacic to blast in our second from 18 yards and shortly before the interval, Foden made it six goals in his last six Premier League appearances, prodding in from close-range, again from De Bruyne’s cross.

The attacking intensity remained after the break as De Bruyne found Jeremy Doku to drive in from the left flank and curl in our fourth via a deflection.

The winger then turned provider, racing towards goal and squaring for Erling Haaland to coolly slot in his 16th goal in 14 league appearances against newly promoted sides.

Guardiola turned to the bench for the final 30 minutes, introducing Divin Mubama for his top-flight debut for City, with Jack Grealish and James McAtee also introduced,  with the latter grabbing our sixth of the game with a controlled header from a precise Kovacic pass.

Nico O’Reilly and Rico Lewis were also sent on for the final moments of the game as we moved into fourth place, equalling our biggest ever away Premier League win!
