OUR ESPORTS BTEC INCLUSIVE PROGRAMME WELCOMES BOTH MALE AND FEMALE PARTICIPANTS

The City Esports programme offers an exceptional opportunity for students who are passionate about both esports and education to merge the two as part of their academic journey.

Delivered at Oldham College in partnership with Manchester City, this programme is designed to be fully inclusive, welcoming both male and female participants. It allows students to develop technical skills and gain invaluable insights into the esports industry.

The curriculum offers a well-rounded education in esports, equipping students with both theoretical knowledge and practical experience essential for success in this fast-evolving sector. With the support of Manchester City, students also gain exclusive opportunities to connect with the professional esports world, enhancing their career prospects and opening doors to exciting industry connections.

Over the duration of the course, participants will gain a range qualifications. CITC currently offer the course in partnership with Oldham College, qualifications participants can gain include:

Level 2 Certificate in Esports (Full Time/1 Year)

Level 3 Extended Diploma in Esports (Full Time/2 Years) - Equivalent to 3 A Levels.

Keating takes on Esports student in game of tennis

City shot stopper Khiara Keating went up against one of the City in the Community BTEC Esports students in a fun but competitive game of tennis.

Donning headbands and miniature rackets, Keating and the Esports student played eTennis at the City Football Academy. Whilst doing so, the pair also discussed football, gaming and life.

Watch as several Manchester City First Team players battle it out in a best of three races on Mario Kart.

There to help the City players and in turn make the event a three v three contest, Rio and Isaac from City in the Community’s Esports programme joined in on the fun.

Manchester City’s James Trafford went head-to-head with a City in the Community Esports participant to see who is better at FC26.

Jack, a CITC and Oldham College Esports student, had no idea that sitting in the room next to him playing FC26 was the Manchester City goalkeeper.
