Man City North Texas: Tryouts announcement

Man City North Texas FC is pleased to announce the launch of its upcoming Tryout sessions for players interested in joining the Club’s competitive program.

The tryouts are open to boys and girls from U11 to U19 and will be used to evaluate players for placement within the Man City North Texas FC competitive pathway.  The tryouts will be hosted at McKinney Soccer Complex (Craig Ranch), one of North Texas’ premier facilities. 

Starting on 19th May and running on weeknights through to the end of June, these sessions will provide players with the opportunity to experience the Manchester City training environment, while allowing coaches to identify and recruit players for competitive teams ahead of the upcoming season.  To register your interest for the tryouts please visit here

The program welcomes boys and girls from U11 to U19, with sessions delivered in line with the Club’s player development philosophy, focused on game understanding, technical development, and creating a positive learning environment for every player.

As part of the Club’s continued growth, Man City North Texas FC is also pleased to confirm the appointment of Tom Paul as the Club’s new Director of Coaching.

A UEFA ‘B’ Licensed Manchester City coach, Tom brings extensive experience developing players across grassroots and professional environments. Since joining Manchester City in 2021, he has contributed to Football Programs in both Manchester and the UAE, delivering structured and engaging sessions aligned with the Club’s coaching methodology.

Tom has also worked internationally in the United States, Norway, and Argentina, giving him valuable experience across a range of playing environments and cultures.

In his new role, Tom will lead the development of the coaching team and oversee the implementation of Manchester City’s coaching methodology across the Club, creating a clear and consistent pathway for player development.
