Manchester City Football Programs Perth continues to grow for Term 3
As Term 2 comes to a close, Manchester City Football Programs Perth is preparing for an exciting Term 3, with new playing opportunities, continued investment in coaching quality and a growing presence across the local football community.
Our focus remains clear: to help young players enjoy their football, improve their technique, build confidence and develop a stronger understanding of the game through structured Manchester City coaching.
Built on the coaching methodology developed at the City Football Academy, our sessions are designed to support players over time, with age appropriate learning, consistent coaching standards and a positive environment where boys and girls can keep progressing.
More opportunities for young players to develop
For Term 3, we are expanding our weekly programme to give players more opportunities to train, learn and apply what they are developing on the pitch.
This includes the introduction of new squad teams across three age groups:
U7s
U8s
U9s
Each squad will take part in a series of friendly games against local clubs, giving players the chance to experience match play in a supportive setting. These fixtures are designed to help young players build confidence, improve decision making and continue learning how to contribute as part of a team.
A continued focus on session quality
Player development remains at the centre of our programme. Across all sessions, we are continuing to improve the quality and delivery of training, with a focus on helping every player develop their technical skills, game understanding and enjoyment of football.
Our coaching approach is based on realistic football situations, encouraging players to make decisions, stay involved and learn through the moments that happen in the game. This supports individual development while helping players understand the importance of teamwork, creativity and confidence on the pitch.
Investing in our coaches
We are also continuing to invest in the development of our coaching team, so that players in Perth benefit from consistent, high quality delivery.
During the coming months, one of our coaches will spend four weeks taking part in club training sessions in Abu Dhabi, while another coach will continue their professional development in Buenos Aires, Argentina, throughout August.
This ongoing coach development helps strengthen the programme in Perth, bringing fresh learning, wider experience and continued connection to Manchester City’s global football education network.
Growing the game in Perth
Alongside the weekly programme, we are increasing our presence in Perth through local school visits and football education sessions with clubs in the local area.
These activities are designed to build stronger connections across the community, support local football development and give more young players the opportunity to experience Manchester City’s coaching approach.
