Q: The app is not responding on my Amazon FireTV Stick
A: If you are seeing a black screen, or just the loading spinner, on your device please try the following steps: Go to Settings > Applications > Manage Installed Applications > Manchester City > Clear Data & Clear Cache. Then re-open the app as normal.
Q: What device do I need to access Man City for TV?
A: You are able to install the app on Apple TV (fourth generation or above), Amazon Fire TV Stick and Roku devices. Additionally, the app is currently available on LG Smart TVs, Samsung Smart TVs and devices running Android TV (including Sony TVs, among others), with more to follow very soon.
Q: Which version of Apple TV do I need?
A: You need to have a fourth-generation Apple TV or above. Apple released the fourth-generation Apple TV in September 2015.
Q: I have an account but I'm unable to sign in and just see a blank box
A: This usually happens when there has been a clash with multiple accounts/supporter numbers registered against one email address. Please contact Supporter Service on [email protected] or +44 (0)161 444 1894.
Q: How much is Man City for TV?
A: Man City for TV is free to install and access to the latest videos from CityTV is included. Premium content requires a paid monthly CITY+ subscription.
Q: Why isn't premium content available in my country?
A: Premium content is currently available in 50 countries worldwide: Algeria, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Thailand, UAE, United Kingdom, United States, and Vietnam.
Unfortunately, users in other countries will not have access to premium content after the 30-day free trial, however, we are constantly reviewing the territories in which this is available. For more details, please refer to our terms and conditions..
Q: What is the minimum speed that my internet connection needs to be in order to playback video on the app?
A: A minimum speed of 0.5mb is required to playback standard definition content but we strongly recommend a higher speed for optimal viewing. High definition playback requires a connection of 5mb.
Q: What type of activity do you track on the app?
A: We only track anonymised viewing data for the videos within the application. If you purchase access to premium content, then this information is securely stored for reporting purposes only. We cannot see which videos you watch.
Q: Do I need to log in to use the app?
A: No. You will only need to log or create a Cityzens account when you subscribe for CITY+ premium content.
