Javairo Dilrosun

One of two young Dutchmen to join City in the summer of 2014, Dilrosun arrived from Ajax and slotted comfortably into the u18s squad alongside Netherlands youth international teammate Rodney Kongolo.

A pacey, exciting left winger who can race to the byline or cut inside to beat his defender, Javairo had a fantastic first campaign in England – in addition to 19 league appearances for the u18s, the youngster was a member of the UEFA Youth League squad under Patrick Vieira and made his debut at u21 level while still a first year scholar.

Already experienced in playing against those more physically mature than himself before landing in Manchester, Dilrosun had already turned out for Ajax at u18 level before his 16th birthday, and proved he is a man for the big occasion by scoring in the 2014 Championship decider against PSV as the youngest player on the pitch.

One of his nation’s brightest young prospects, the winger dazzled for the Oranje u16s during 2013/14, when he scored six times in ten appearances, and the following season he turned tormentor against England – scoring a hat trick as part of a 7-0 demolition of the young Lions at u17 level.
