CLASSy, BALL-PLAYING DEFENDER
Stephen is an excellent left-footed defender who oozes class and personality both on and off the pitch and has done so since joining City’s Academy at a young age.
Mfuni is comfortable on the ball and is also able to step into midfield to create overloads when needed.
He made his debut for England Under-16s in November 2022 and has since scored for the national side following his eight appearances for England at youth level.
One of the youngest members of the squad for the 2023/24 season, Mfuni made 25 appearances across various competitions for the Under-18s, including 85 minutes in our FA Youth Cup final victory.
Mfuni scored in our 4-0 triumph over Leeds United at the Etihad.
The aspiring defender travelled to the United States two months later as part of Pep Guardiola‘s pre-season tour team.
Continuing to develop at a fantastic rate, Mfuni will look to showcase his football prowess for the EDS in the 2024/25 season.
