“New EDS Head Coach for the 2018/19 campaign...”
Paul Harsley played as a midfielder from 1996 until 2012, and made 583 league and cup appearances, scoring 52 goals.
He spent much of his career in the English Football League but also had spells in the Conference Premier and Northern Premier League.
Harsley’s coaching career kicked off in January 2011 after being appointed Scunthorpe United’s Centre of Excellence Coordinator. After four years in the role, he moved to Birmingham City to work closely with Steve Spooner at the BCFC academy.
In October 2016, Harsley was appointed as Senior Professional Development Coach at Barnsley FC, with the responsibility of coaching the club's under-23s team.
Harsley was later chosen as Caretaker Manager of Barnsley on 6 February 2018 following the departure of Paul Heckingbottom to Leeds United and after 10 days in the role, Barnsley appointed Jose Morais as permanent manager of the Club.
On 12 June 2018, City appointed Harsley as manager of the EDS.
