Difference-maker

Brazil international Kerolin became City’s third signing of the January transfer window when she joined from NWSL side North Carolina Courage on a three-and-a-half-year deal.

The 25-year-old enjoyed an impressive three seasons in the United States, winning back-to-back NWSL Challenge Cups, scoring in both finals in 2022 and 2023.

In the latter campaign, her exploits for the Courage saw her named in the league’s Best XI and also win the Most Valuable Player award – the first South American to do so.

An Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury cut her season short, but she returned in time to help Brazil earn a silver medal at last summer’s Olympic Games in Paris, scoring in a semi-final win over Spain in the process.

Two years prior, she’d helped Brazil win the Copa America and is sure to be a starring name for the Selecao when they host the next World Cup in 2027.

A dynamic forward with searing pace and an eye for goal, Kerolin is looking to make a similar impact in the WSL as she has done wherever she’s played so far.
