Bio
Experienced England international Ellen White joined the Club from Birmingham City, following the 2019 Women’s World Cup in France.
White, who has amassed caps for her country, boasts a glittering CV, adorned with silverware and individual awards. Having helped Leeds to clinch the 2010 Premier League Cup, she went on to achieve domestic glory with Arsenal, lifting the 2011 and 2012 league titles, 2011 and 2013 FA Women’s Cups and the 2011, 2012 and 2013 League Cups.
She was named the Super League’s Player of the Month in March 2018 and claimed the league’s Golden Boot prize for a prolific 2017/18 campaign, earning Birmingham’s Player of the Season award in recognition, and hopes to achieve further success in sky blue.
Since making her Lionesses debut in March 2010, White steered her country to the 2013 Cyprus Cup, 2019 SheBelieves Cup and a bronze medal finish at the 2015 World Cup. Her contribution has been rewarded with two England Women's Player of the Year awards.
The striker has also represented Team GB at two Olympic Games, starring in the 2020 tournament in Tokyo. Against Australia, she netted a hat-trick but sadly it was not enough for the Lionesses to progress.
She penned a new deal with the Club in May 2021 and went on to make history, becoming England's all-time record goalscorer, overtaking Kelly Smith's previous record with a hat-trick in a 20-0 thrashing of Latvia.
The forward then found the net in our 2022 Continental Cup Final triumph, handing City the lead from close range to turn the game on its head at Plough Lane and give Gareth Taylor's side the advantage. The victory marked her second trophy success, following our 2020 FA Cup Final win.
