“Manchester-born, agile shot stopper”
Life-long City fan, Daniel Grimshaw, has developed through the Academy age groups having joined the Club as a nine-year-old.
The Manchester-born goalkeeper boasts excellent distribution and handling and impressed throughout his time in the U18s and Elite Development Squad.
In 2015/16 he helped City to the U18 Premier League title and FA Youth Cup final, while in the 2017/18 UEFA Youth League campaign, he was outstanding as the U19s’ reached the semi-finals.
Grimshaw was twice the hero in penalty shootout victories over Inter Milan and Liverpool and was promoted to the senior squad that same season.
He signed a three-year contract extension in June 2018 and continued to train with Pep Guardiola’s squad, whilst turning out 12 times for the U23s in the 2018/19 campaign.
