Ashton progressed to sign his scholar In July 2022, following a long association with Manchester City following his first registration with the Academy aged eight.

A clever, progressive player, capable out wide as well as in central areas, 2022/23 saw Muir progress to the Under-18s squad. He went on to make 20 appearances - scoring four goals and assisting seven in the process.

He carried his positive form into the 2023/24 campaign where he made 21 appearances, scored nine goals and assisted six across the Under-18s and EDS. 

For the 2024/25 season, Muir is looking to extend his form in the final third with the EDS squad.
