Below you will find important service information ahead of our away fixture against Huddersfield, Sunday 26th November, 4pm kick-off.

We ask you to arrive early to ensure that there are no delays in entering the stadium. 

Supporters attending this match are advised not to take any bags unless essential. Bags will be searched, in accordance with visiting supporter stand security procedures, which may cause a delay in entering the stadium.

Travelling to the stadium

For directions to The John Smiths Stadium, including address and contact details, please see the visiting supporters guide here.

The postcode for the John Smith’s Stadium is HD1 6PG. Parking is available on the Club’s North End Car Park and St Andrew’s Road Car Park. You will find official signage directing you to the car parks on the A62.

The nearest train station is Huddersfield Train Station and is a short walk or taxi ride from the Stadium. For train times call 08457 48 49 50

Supporters are advised to always allow extra time to travel on a match day and plan ahead.

Virgin trains - discount

If you’re planning on travelling to the game using a Virgin Trains service, make sure to use your 20% Cityzens discount. Remember to read the terms and conditions and be sure to have your Supporter Number or email address to hand before booking your journey. Discount are valid on advance fares at off-peak times on the Virgin Trains West Coast Network, on Virgin Trains services only.

The designated pubs for visiting supporters are ‘The Boy and Barrel Pub’ (HD1 1QF) and The Parish (HD1 1QQ)

Ticket collections

Supporters collecting tickets can do so from the Ticket Office which is located on the front of the Revell Ward Stand.

Supporters are advised to collect their tickets at least 60-minutes before kick-off to pass through security checks and enter the stadium in time.


There are a limited number of disabled parking spaces available on site, please note this must be arranged at least 72 hours before the day of the game.

Official match ticket

The Away Supporters’ Area is located in the Chadwick Lawrence South Stand. Turnstiles will open approximately 90 minutes prior to kick-off. All supporters will enter the ground through turnstiles 17-20 situated in the South Stand.

Supporters are located in Blocks 3-6. Please find the correct turnstile printed on your match day ticket. It is important that aisles are kept clear and supporter do not stand in the hatched areas.

The Club accepts no liability for tickets purchased through unofficial channels. 


Away supporters are welcome to bring flags and banners to the ground, as long as they meet the Club’s safety requirements. Please note that the club reserves the right to turn banners away on the grounds of offensive content.

The nearest cashpoint it located on the outside of the Stadium Health & Fitness Club, which is adjacent to the Media Stand. Food & Drink is available inside the Stadium from the concessions, please note it is cash sales only.

The match day programme, ‘The Terrier’ is available to purchase from designated programme sellers around the John Smith’s Stadium and the Club Shop at £3.50.

Code of conduct: Respect the badge

If you ever witness crime, vandalism, violence, drugs, the use of smoke bombs and pyrotechnics or abusive behaviour from visiting or home supporters, inside or outside a Stadium, contact a steward as soon as you can and report your concerns.

The John Smith’s Stadium has a strict no smoking policy; the use of electronic cigarettes is also prohibited.

Supporters travelling via public transport are asked to be mindful of other passengers travelling and respect the staff on board.
