The 19-year-old centre-half, who has made eight appearances for City’s first team, spent the first half of the campaign on loan with Anderlecht.
But, having curtailed his stay with the Belgian side, Harwood-Bellis will now continue his development with the Championship side.
Harwood-Bellis made his City debut in a 3-0 Carabao Cup win over Preston North End in September 2019 and was part of the Under-18 side which won the 2020 FA Youth Cup.
His impressive progress was rewarded with a four-year contract in December 2020, shortly before he moved to Blackburn Rovers on loan for the latter half of the 2020/21 season.
The defender made a big impression with Tony Mowbray’s side before furthering his experience with the move to Anderlecht at the start of this term, where he made 19 appearances in total.
Taylor also made his debut for England’s Under-21s earlier this season.
Everyone at Manchester City wishes Taylor the best of luck during his spell at Stoke.
