Man City Women suffered their first defeat since April, with a 4-1 loss in a friendly at Turbine Potsdam.

The hosts opened the scoring on 36 minutes, as Felicitas Rauch pounced following a scramble in the box.

Two goals in quick succession after the hour mark handed the hosts a 3-0 advantage, with Eseosa Aigbogun latching onto a through ball and slotting home, before Tabea Kemme volleyed in from a corner.

Kemme netted her second with ten minutes of normal time remaining with a header.

City were able to reduce the deficit late on when Toni Duggan converted from the spot, but there were to be no more goals as the Blues were handed the stern test they craved ahead of their upcoming Champions League quarter-finals.
