Watch MCWFC v Brondby live on Facebook with Nissan

Manchester City Women’s Champions League tie against Brondby IF will be streamed live on Facebook with Official Partner, Nissan.

The recently crowned FA WSL champions face the Danish outfit in the first leg of their Round of 16 clash on Wednesday evening and fans from across the globe can follow all the action live on the Club’s Facebook page.

Supporters can tune in shortly ahead of kick off, when CityTV’s Kelly O’Donnell and Alistair Mann will bring you all the latest team news from the Academy Stadium before we get underway at 7pm.

This is the second time Nissan, who are also a UEFA Women’s Champion’s League (UWCL) partner, have teamed up with the Blues to give supporters who can’t make the game a chance to enjoy a European fixture.

City’s 2-0 win against Zvezda Perm in their competition debut was also streamed live on Facebook and Izzy Christiansen and the team will be hoping to gain a similar first leg advantage against Brondby.

Speaking ahead of the game, the midfielder explained she’s pleased that the Club’s global fan base will be able to see their side in action.

“It’s great that Manchester City fans from around the world will be able to watch us against Brondby and their support means a lot to the team.

“We want to ensure we’re in the hat for the quarter finals and that challenge starts tomorrow night. We’ve got to make sure we take a good result away to Copenhagen next week.”

Christiansen appeared alongside manager Nick Cushing at Tuesday’s pre-match press conference, which was also streamed live on Facebook with Nissan, before sitting down with CityTV to take part in a live question and answer session with fans.

The England midfielder fielded a range of questions as she told watching Blues about her hobbies away from football, which of her teammates would make her dream team and what she is expecting from the opposition on Wednesday.

Izzy will be back on Facebook tomorrow as City take on Brondby and if you can't make it to the Academy Stadium head to Manchester City Women's Facebook page to watch the game live with Nissan.

DIFFICULT TASK: Cushing says Bronby pose a far sterner test than Zvezda

Nick Cushing believes his side’s Champions League last-16 tie with Brondby will be a far harder test than the one they faced in the previous round against Russian side Zvezda Perm.
