Tessel Middag made an instant impact on her City debut.
The Dutch star was introduced from the bench with half an hour to go, as the Blues trailed 1-0 to Liverpool.
Within minutes, she had helped Nick Cushing's side to an equaliser, releasing fellow substitute Nikita Parris who crossed for Jane Ross to convert.
The best of the hosts' attacks came through the midfielder, who created chance after chance and almost found the net herself. She was voted Player of the Match by the Official Supporters Club.
Reflecting on a memorable day, she told mcfc.co.uk she was happy with her contribution, although the team were unsatisfied with a draw.
"I'm very proud of my debut," she smiled. "It would have been amazing to top it off with a goal but my ultimate aim is to help the team to win.
"I had a few good crosses which could have been goals but unfortunately, there were no goals and no assists for me!
"I'm very pleased to have played in front of the home crowd - the fans are amazing.
"I heard from the girls the pitch wasn't as good as it normally is but the stadium is beautiful.
"We are disappointed because we were playing at home and we are top of the league but we didn't win. You always want to win a game and in the last part of the match, we had the chances but we just couldn't score.
"The first half of the match wasn't good enough. We know that. We are definitely going to improve and we want to get back to winning ways like we did in the first half of the season.
"It's up to us to win the next game."
Asked how her first week of training had panned out, she replied: "It has been amazing. Everybody at the club I have met - not only the players; every member of staff - is very kind and very helpful.
"They have helped me with everything and now I am moving into a new apartment to live with members of the team. I will see them every day now."
Even the Manchester weather has been kind, as she explained: "I am used to a little bit of rain in Amsterdam and this week, the weather has been quite good. I'm sure I'll get used to it!
"My first week has been perfect and I am really enjoying playing for this big club. I can't wait to play again."
