MCWFC: Continental Cup statement

Celebration

Celebration

Manchester City Women’s FC has been cleared of a charge of fielding an ineligible player by the FA Women’s Super League (FA WSL) Management Committee.

It was alleged that the Club fielded an unregistered player in their FA WSL Continental Tyres Cup match against Sunderland AFC Ladies on Saturday 15 August 2015, in breach of League Cup Rule 5 (Competition Rule 26.5).

Manchester City will therefore continue to participate in the FA WSL Continental Tyres Cup and their postponed Quarter-Final fixture away at Arsenal will now be rearranged.
