Pre-match chatter dominates Wednesday’s Media Watch ahead of Manchester City’s clash with Napoli at the Stadio San Paolo.

Both the Gli Azzurri boss, Maurizio Sarri and midfielder, Jose Callejon, have shared their thoughts on the tie, while elsewhere, Gabriel Jesus has revealed how Pep Guardiola convinced him to join the Club.

We’ll start with that news, which comes from an interview that will feature in the latest edition of FourFourTwo.

The Brazilian tells the magazine that it was the manager’s personal touch that proved pivotal in his decision to swap Sao Paulo for Manchester.

He said: “Guardiola called me up and said I would be a very important part of his project.

“This obviously made me feel wanted and was a big factor in helping me pick City as my next club. There had been a lot of clubs interested in signing me at the time, but the one I felt most confident in was City.”

To Champions League matters now and the Napoli head coach has acknowledged just how tough a test he feels City will pose, with a glowing review of Guardiola’s management.

The Daily Mail have the story, in which Sarri said: “Nobody is unbeatable, but I consider them the best European team of the moment with the best coach in the world.

“I cannot be compared with Guardiola - he is the best coach in the world. I have ideas but I have won nothing so far, so I cannot be compared to him. We are talking about a coach who has changed football.”

Finally, Spaniard Callejon, is confident about his team’s chances and feels the home side can be more than a match for the visiting Blues.

He told Calcio Mercato: “We’re not afraid of anyone. We respect all teams but fear none as we know that we’re a strong side and we’ll face them with confidence that we can pick up three points.

“I don’t know if tomorrow is decisive, we have to think about the game as if it were our last, but it will definitely be important. We know we’re strong and that we can compete with them and we need to go on the pitch with that mentality.”

That’s your lot Blues, but stay tuned for all the build-up ahead of tonight’s game.
