Danilo has signed for Juventus on a permanent deal.

The Brazilian defender joined City in the summer of 2017 and played a key role in the unprecedented success that followed.

“It’s been a pleasure to be part of the success City have enjoyed in my time here,” he said.

“The Club have been fantastic with me from day one and I will always be grateful.

“The Premier League title wins will stay with me forever and I will always have City in my heart. The fans, the players and the staff have all been brilliant and I wish the Club every success in the future.”

His first season at the Club saw us become the first top-flight English side ever to reach 100 points, 19 ahead of second-placed Manchester United, the largest winning margin in Premier League history.

Danilo, operating in a variety of roles, played 38 times in all competitions, scoring three goals, as we won both the league and Carabao Cup.

And last season the 28-year-old played 22 times as we became the first men’s side in history to win every major English trophy available.

In total, Danilo played 60 times for City, winning two Premier League titles, two Carabao Cups and an FA Cup.

Everyone at City would like to wish Danilo the best on his move to Italy and thank him for his contribution over his two seasons in Manchester.
