All or Nothing but the best
Our glorious, record-smashing 2017/18 campaign may now be consigned to the history books – though certainly never forgotten! – but it may herald another award.
As you may (or should!) know, the journey of our incredible campaign was captured on camera for Amazon’s highly-acclaimed documentary: All or Nothing – and the series has been nominated for ‘the best Factual Entertainment award’ in the UK.

With City flying atop the Premier League table, our Blues are used to hitting the heights, walking on air.
Mendy would probably have preferred to be walking in this shot but as he says, his flying tumble was impressive!

Shot in the arm
England star Nikita Parris made Club history earlier this year, becoming City’s all-time record female goalscorer, and two more FA Women’s Super League goals would lift the forward top of the league’s scoring charts.
With Parris in red-hot form, surely it’s just a matter of time….

It’s one of the first fixtures you look for when the calendar is released – the clash with more than points at stake. It’s the day superstitions become imperative, the reason friends and relatives fall out, and the reason you may be inclined to call in sick to work on the Monday morning.
To intensify that drama; that passion, imagine if it fell as the first fixture of the new campaign – with the addition of heightened excitement ahead of the new season.
The first Melbourne derby of 2018/19 would achieve that feat – and City kicked off with a bang, defeating Victory away from home with a comeback triumph, despite missing a penalty!
Start as you mean to go on…
On the subject of derby delight, this week heralded the anniversary of City’s infamous 6-1 triumph at Old Trafford.
Naturally, the occasion was joyously celebrated – and not just by the fans.
Roberto Mancini ‘liked’ our highlights package on social media, while the charismatic Mario Balotelli shared a post of his own on Instagram.
Why always him? Because he’s a Manchester derby icon!
Book of Life
This week also marked the launch of Noel Gallagher’s first official book: ‘Any Road Will Get Us There (If We Don’t Know Where We’re Going).’
As NME explain: “Promising to be ‘epic’, the book tells behind-the-scenes story of Noel’s biggest ever world tour with his band The High Flying Birds and the making of his critically-acclaimed album ‘Who Built The Moon?’ – told through the stunning images of former Man City photographer Sharon Latham and the words of Noel and his bandmates Mike Rowe, Chris Sharrock, Russell Pritchard, Gem Archer, Jessica Greenfield , Charlotte Marionneau and YSEÉ.”
Our beloved Shaz has been sharing some behind-the-scenes snaps from the launch event on social media. We loved this one in particular!
For the City
Ahead of New York City FC’s third venture into the Play-offs, there is plenty of cause for celebration over the pond – and our American counterparts have ensured the moment will be forever immortalised in print with the release of a new, limited edition soccer publication: For The City.
Capturing some of the most incredible soccer stories from the Club’s array of talent and the history of ‘the City that never sleeps’, the 52-page, 6” x 9” magazine was consulted and designed by Eight by Eight Studios – the creative marketing unit of Eight by Eight Magazine.
If you can get your hands on a copy, we highly recommend it.
There was a memorable farewell in Pep Guardiola's pre-match press conference for retiring journalist Richard Tanner.
Invited to sit in the manager's seat and presented with a City shirt and a bottle of champagne, Tanner reflected on a career, which covered both Manchester clubs, including the stories and changes he'd witnessed along the way.
Best of luck, Richard!
