Douglas Luiz has joined Girona on a one-year loan deal.

The 19-year old completed his move to City from Brazilian side Vasco Da Gama recently, and the club can now confirm he will begin his European development at the newly promoted La Liga outfit.

Luiz has joined up with his team-mates in Girona, and City Director of Football, Txiki Begiristain, said: “Girona will give Douglas the perfect opportunity to develop at the top level of the European game. We’re all excited about seeing him develop in La Liga, and send our best wishes to him for the coming season.”
