Juve are currently top of Serie A - four points ahead of second-placed Roma - and are chasing their sixth consecutive title. Later today they play rivals Torino at the Stadio Olimpico di Torino. They have won 12 and lost three of their 15 league games so far and are once again the dominant side in Italian football.
Their progression from Group H of the Champions League was impressive. They won four and drew two of their six matches, finishing top, three points ahead of Sevilla.
They would provide City with a formidable test should the Blues draw them on Monday.
The two sides have locked horns six times – four in the Europa League (twice in 1976 and twice in 2010) and on two occasions in the Champions League.
In the 2015/16 season, the pair were placed together in Group D alongside Sevilla and Borussia Monchengladbach.
At the Etihad Stadium, goals from Mario Mandzukic and Alvaro Morata handed the Italians a 2-1 win. City’s strike came courtesy of a Giorgio Chiellini own-goal.
In Italy, Mandzukic bagged the winner in a 1-0 triumph.
Carlos Tevez was a fine player for City, helping the club to the 2011 FA Cup, their first major trophy in 35 years, and the 2012 Premier League title.
He moved to Juventus in the summer of 2013, winning two Serie A titles and a Coppa Italia, as well as helping them to the 2015 Champions League final where they lost to Barcelona.
